1. The Program Goals (PGs)
The Program Goals (PGs) of the DABS bachelor program describe the expected attainments of graduates after the first few years following their graduation. By the completion of their Bachelor degree of Architecture and Building Science graduates will have:
· PG1. To prepare highly qualified and well-trained graduate architects for the architectural profession.
· PG2. To qualify and train architects to be able to participate in providing a sustainable-built environment and presents its values to the community.
· PG3. To promote the graduates’ knowledge and skills through self-education and continuous research.

2. The Graduate Attributes (GAs)
While the DABS Bachelor program’s graduate attributes were set according to PLOs and in alignment with the NQF (National Qualification Framework of Saudi Arabia) for Bachelor Level (6th Level in NQF, 8th level SAQF) requirements (Annex 1.1, 1.2). Graduate attributes are fostered in the context of the curriculum, they are also developed within the total DABS experience as they encourage students to reflect on the broader purpose of their university education. Those attributes are as following:
GA# 1: Qualified with the latest professional practice, and basic research skills in Architecture and Building Sciences with ethical standards, which qualifies the graduate to join the market.
GA# 2: Capable of participating effectively in various roles and disciplines related to Architecture and Building science sectors.
GA# 3: Capable of practicing in a Professional manner, presenting leadership readiness, working within groups, and managing resources effectively.
GA# 4: Capable of participating in sustainable-built environment related efforts and presenting its values to the community.
GA# 5: Emphasizing social and environmental responsibility through community development.
GA# 6: Capable of Acquisition of theoretical knowledge, principles, and standards in various aspects of professional practice.
GA# 7: Capable of applying specialized knowledge in various aspects of professional practice.
GA# 8: Qualified for life-long learning and self-development in their field of profession.
3. Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)
1. Knowledge and Understanding
1.1. Memorize a comprehensive body of architectural knowledge, principles and theories in architecture and related disciplines.
1.2. Recognize different factors and circumstances and its effects on architecture.
1.3. Recognize the processes and procedures used in designing buildings, landscape and interior and its related requirements of professional practice.
2. Skills
2.1. Undertake Analytical and evaluative investigations and studies in an issue using theoretical knowledge, principles, and standards in different aspects of professional practice.
2.2. Compose creative and innovative solutions and design Alternatives for complex problems, and design systems, by integrating technical, environmental, theoretical and professional knowledge in architecture, to demonstrate imagination capabilities, three-dimensional and spatial thinking.
2.3. Use routine procedures appropriately in architectural design, building execution and different contexts.
2.4. Demonstrate the ability to manage tasks, time and resources effectively in different situations and issues either in group or individual work.
2.5. Demonstrate responsibility in finding new information and self-learning and life-long learning.
2.6. Communicate project and various issues effectively; verbally, visually and in writing, to different kinds of audiences, using presentations, reports and appropriate ICT tools.
2.7. Use and adapt advanced processes, techniques, tools, instruments, and materials in dealing with various complex practical activities related to Architecture.
3. Values
3.1. Reflect ethical responsibility and basic values in different professional practices, while working within a group or individually.
3.2. Demonstrate the ability to engage in lifelong learning of Architectural field, enhance the quality of life, and strengthen the local identity.
