The Department of Urban Planning at King Saud University, established in 1984 as part of the College of Architecture and Planning, is one of only four such departments in Saudi Arabia. The College itself was founded in 1983 AD pursuant to Royal Decree 2061/7/M. Urban planning is a critical discipline that shapes the development and organization of cities and regions. As Saudi Arabia undergoes rapid urbanization, there is a growing demand for qualified urban planners to address challenges and drive sustainable development. |
