Saudi Society for Real Estate Science

The idea to create a scientific society in the area of real estate science stems from a suggestion presented by His Excellency, Professor Khalid bin Sakeet Al Sakeet, who has been a faculty member at the Department of Urban Planning for several years and is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors. A number of faculty members at the Department endorsed this idea which was implemented and has now become a reality. However, there have been many obstacles hampering the implementation process such as the lack of sufficient awareness among many as to the vitality of field. The Society was founded in 14/01/2005G.

It is worth-noting that the approval by the Council of the Department of Urban Planning to create the Saudi Society for Real Estate Science was greatly supported by a group of experts in this regard who believe in the existence of an independent society that serves this vital sector, which constitutes an important part of the urban system and plays a major role in the Saudi economy. The initiative to create the Saudi Society for Real Estate Science comes in accordance with the current economic prosperity in the Kingdom. Most of those in favor of this Society are professors who are known for their scientific and moral integrity and who are still supporting it until today.
