Academic Accreditation
Accreditation is regarded as one of the key benchmark for measuring the quality of academic programs. Accredited programs are deemed to be of higher quality than those which are not, thus graduates of such programs tend to be more readily accepted by the market, and enjoy the prestige of having the recognition. The expanding globalization effect, allows architecture professionals to practice throughout the world, thus the need for accreditation becomes more profound.
In line with the aspirations of the University leadership, the College of Architecture and Planning, is in the process of getting accreditation for its two programs.
For the Architecture program, the US National Architectural Accreditation Board Substantial Equivalency is pursued whilst for the Urban Planning program, accreditation from the local National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment is chosen
